The Abler Blog Would Like To Welcome Hillary Sussman: With Her Adorable Children's Book: Roxy And Maliboo It's Okay To Be Different

We hope you enjoy this interview, and pick up the book today! 1.Could you dive into more of the background story of how you brought your story to life? a. My story was born after my husband suggested that I write a children’s book over quarantine from a tick tock….I have always been so good at rhyming and I have always wanted to write a book! So since I am a physical therapist and my dog has undergone four surgeries, and my brother had a three-legged dog.…it all came together to write a story about a lovable dog with unique features to spread an important message! I wanted to create a character that was adorable but had a special difference to help kids who are struggling with any differences 2.Will there be anymore adventures for Roxy and his friends in the near future? Yes! My second book, Roxy and Tully: Words are Powerful is coming out this holiday season! Roxy goes to school and faces insecurities about wearing a prosthesis and also faces a bully, and this book teaches the important message about how words can be powerful. 3.Since this is your first time publishing a book, what advice would you give someone thinking about self-publishing for the first time? If you want to write a book, you can do it! There are so many avenues out there for people to self-publish, or use a company….so many price points, follow your dreams and make it happen. There is so much information out there on facebook, ie groups for new writers, etc that can help you with this process! 4.What lessons do you hope children take away from reading the book? The message of the book is to be more inclusive, to accept differences, to be kinder and to not let other people determine your self worth! 5.Where can readers find you online? www.adventuresofroxy.com Instagram: @adventuresofroxyroo Facebook: Adventures of Roxy Twitter:@roxyadventures Buy On Amazon Thank you Hillary For your wonderful book, and for your recognition to thoes who are seen as "different" in society. But, most importantly thank you, for your acceptance and understanding. Welcome to the abler family! Founder, Jessica Niziolek
