the ClinicCare Symptom Tracker App Review By The Abler Blog


When I initially opened the ClinicCare Symptom Tracker app, I instantly thought a prompt screen or a walk-through guide could help the person or the caregiver navigate their way through the app more quickly and smoothly. I appreciate how there is such a particular list of health conditions. I would suggest, however, that all the various types of Cerebral Palsy should be added because Cerebral palsy is an extremely complex condition and it does not present identical signs in every child and or adult that have this disability. 

I equally love the diary feature to this app, and it’s a nice way to collaborate with your doctors and tell them what's going on from a more personal point of view. I think it's a considerable addition to the diary section, would be to have a personal goals section as well as explaining why you want to accomplish the goal in the first place. That way, you and your doctor can be on the same track on a personal level too and not just from a medical standpoint. I love the medication search feature. I think that’s a convenient feature to have especially if the person’s condition requires them to be many different kinds of medications at the same time or if the current ones they are on get frequently adjusted or changed. 

If ever Care Clinic should decide to update this app in the future, I’d suggest a version where the person could sync it to their phone. So that, if the person is visual, impaired they could sync it to Google Home, Alexa, or Siri from their phones or portals. As well as have something that could be linked to sign-language for the hearing impaired community. Lastly, for the premium package, I suggest a family discount of some sort. 

While the app demonstrates immense potential, $60.00 for the yearly option is a bit steep. I think if an interested party would like to invest in this app, I suggest letting the person “test out” out some of the premium features. Such as the customizations or the sync option, etc. That way if the person prefers their overall experience with the app they can pick what plan in the premium packages works best for them based on their needs or the needs of their loved one if they are their caregiver. 

All things considered, I think this app represents an excellent idea. The medical field is one of the most fast-paced industries to date, and with the advances in both technology, and medicine it’s nice to include apps like Clinic Care to help bridge the gap between the patient and the medical professional.
