My Review On HoneyColony's New TopIcal Hemp Oil For Chronic Pain

The Abler Blog’s Product Review On Morpho A Liposomal CBD LINIMENT

Morpho - Topical CBD
Photo was taken by Jessica Niziolek

I recently tried Morpho, a new CBD topical liniment meant to  relieve joint, muscle, and chronic pain. Morpho is a brand new product for the HoneyColony platform. For those that have not heard of Simply Transformative or their products, they are firm believers in healing the mind, body, and spirit by using natural remedies rather than the Pharmaceutical route. Which is a sister site to Simply Transformative simply transformative.com. Being someone who has constant pain due to my Spastic Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy, and trying to find something that would help with my daily pain and discomfort, has been an added challenge. So. When the opportunity came for me to review this product, I did not hesitate. This product has truly been a life-saver. From the moment I began using this product my feet and leg cramping, spasms, and nerve pain changed drastically. My legs and feet decreased in spasms and pain, and I was able to sleep without constantly having to keep my legs and feet moving. I also found that it works better when you apply it just before bed, versus applying it during the day, and I believe that is because your body has more time to relax at night than it during the day. I purposely didn’t use it recently, and the spasms, Charlie horses, nerve pain, and cramping came back with a vengeance. I won’t be making that mistake again.
How to apply it:
You simply spray (no more than two pumps) on the desired area, and gently rub it into the skin. It absorbs fairly quickly. I personally loved how refreshed I felt after it was applied. I also recommend if you need assistance in applying it, to have whoever assists to wash their hands right after. Or they could simply spray it on  the person, and wear protect like gloves to assistant them when it comes rubbing it into the person’s skin. I also recommend using as little as possible. (A little goes a long way, and once you apply it you don’t need to keep reapplying.)
One of the other things I loved about this particular product was the lavender scent to it. You instantly get the feeling of being “refreshed” and relaxed whenever you smell lavender, so It’s a very fitting scent/ingredient for something like this where it’s purpose is to relieve someone’s pain and discomfort. Especially, if that pain and discomfort are due to a chronic condition. The ingredients for this product are as follows:

Morpho’s Pain-relieving Ingredients
1. Hemp Oil Derived Liposomal Research shows hemp oil possesses potent anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, and neuroprotective activity with a wide range of potential therapeutic effects. Hemp Oil is shown to be effective in the treatment of:
• Neuropathies
• Similar neurological and neuromuscular ailments
• Fibromyalgia
• Arthralgia (joint pain)
• Lupus
• Oxidative stress
• Multiple sclerosis
• Musculoskeletal inflammation
• Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
• Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), lupus
• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Stagnant anxiety and depression.
Researchers report, “Daily treatment with topical one percent [hemp oil]-cream may exert neuroprotective effects against EAE ... and by ameliorating histological score typical of disease ... in spinal cord tissues.” Not only does hemp oil provide pain relief, but it may very well reverse neuropathy in some conditions.
2. Boswellia (Boswellia Serrata) Otherwise known as Indian frankincense, boswellia Serrata is extracted from a tree that’s native to India and parts of Africa. Traditional Asian and African folk medicine made a resin from the extract for disease treatment — this was highly prized during the peak of Roman and Indian civilizations. Boswellia is:
• A powerful anti-inflammatory in the treatment of diseases like osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
• a painkiller, that can help inhibit cartilage loss.
• able to alleviate asthma. • useful for sprains, bruises, swelling, traumatic injury, and can also be useful to combat fungal infections, when applied topically.
• comprised of compounds that specifically target the immune system to support healing, according to a major study that researched the use of Boswellia in chronic inflammatory disease.
• essential for inflammatory/free radical cellular destruction. 3. Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) Root Native to Japan, Korea, and China, Japanese Knotweed is a large, perennial herbaceous plant that historically holds a significant cultural, medicinal, culinary, and ceremonial place in these countries. The active ingredient that gets this herb so much attention is its high content of resveratrol — the beneficial chemical found in red wine. This powerful herb is traditionally used topically in:
• arthralgia (joint pain)
• conditions of blood stasis
• muscle pain
• traumatic injury
• alleviating dermatological conditions
• healing burns, psoriasis, shingles, abscesses, and thrush/yeast 4. Angelica (Angelica Sinensis) root Called Dang Gui in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the root extract is valued in formulas for women’s reproductive health in the treatment of menstrual irregularity, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. It’s also used in cardiotonics (heart treatment) and for constipation. Its mechanism of action is in relieving the blood stagnation that is involved in each of these conditions, which is also the feature that makes it so useful in topical formulas for arthralgia (joint pain), bruising, and injury. One study specifically documented the range of terpenes present in a classic Dang Gui pairing value for its ability to promote:
• blood circulation
• dispelling of blood stasis
• inhibition of mast cells to cause inflammation and itchy, tender skin
• pain relief
• stimulate vasodilation to contribute to the relief of neuropathies, fibromyalgia, and CFS
5. Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa) root For thousands of years, Native Americans used Black Cohosh root to treat all manner of gynecological problems as well as sore throats, kidney problems, and depression. Today it’s known for its anti-inflammatory, sedative, and pain-relieving properties. When applied topically, black cohosh can help treat:
• neuropathies
• sciatica
• bursitis
• trigeminal neuralgia
• nerve pain • low back pain
• fibromyalgia
6. Red Root Sage (Salvia miltiorrhiza) root Red root sage has been used for centuries to help treat a wide range of medical concerns, such as high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. In TCM, this herb is known as Dan Shen and is lauded for its healing properties. It’s a traditional topical remedy in the treatment of:
• arthralgia
• conditions of blood stasis
• strains
• muscle pain
• traumatic injury from swelling. Red root sage also:
• regulates histamine response
• inhibits oxidative stress
• regulates immune inflammation
• treats hives and atopic dermatitis
7. Tienqi (Panax notoginseng) Root Commonly referred to as Chinese Ginseng, this native Chinese herb has dark green leaves and a red cluster of berries in the middle. In TCM, it is believed that aches and pains are often caused by poor circulation. Notoginseng is said to improve blood flow, making it useful for pain relief. Tianqi has been shown to help with the following:
• stopping or slowing down of bleeding (esp. in nosebleeds, vomit or cough with blood), or blood in the urine or feces
• reduce swelling and blood pressure
• boosting energy and ability to exercise
• reducing muscle soreness following exercise When applied externally tianqi works:
• to alleviate blood stasis, bruising, inflammation, and pain.
• to provide relief for sufferers of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and conditions of ischemia.
• to remove blood stasis by working as a hemostatic, traumatic, and cardiovascular medicine.

• As a wound-healing accelerator via multiple processes, “including promoting fibroblast proliferation, enhancing angiogenesis, and attenuating inflammatory response.”
8. CoQ10 (Ubiquinone), Liposomal CoQ10 is an antioxidant that every living creature naturally generates. It was only discovered in 1957, and we’re still discovering how important it truly is. It is largely responsible for our energy levels and it is believed that a major reason why energy levels begin to dwindle over the years is due to a decreased production of CoQ10. When topically applied, CoQ10 provides:
• total body replenishment
• augmentation of cellular energy metabolism
• antioxidant effects
• anti-aging support
• increased mitochondrial function and increased cellular energy
• substantial reduction of DNA-damaging oxidants
• reduction of symptoms for fibromyalgia sufferers
• potent antioxidant support

9. Terpene A-Pinene Alpha-pinene is a terpene found in a number of coniferous trees and is naturally- occurring in hemp compounds. It has a woody and earthy aroma, with clear cedarwood and pine tones. This terpene is used in a number of different applications, including in aromatherapy. A 2012 study showed that alpha-pinene was a potent anti-inflammatory agent against acute pancreatitis — an inflammatory disease with an unknown cause. A 2011 study showed how alpha-pinene, along with all the different hemp compounds and terpenes found in hemp oil interact synergistically and amplify anti-inflammatory activity. Thus, alpha-pinene has been proven to be helpful in managing inflammation for diseases such as arthritis, Crohn’s, and MS.
10. B-Caryophyllene Beta-caryophyllene is another terpene found in hemp. Its distinctive flavor contributes to the spiciness of black pepper and can be found in high amounts in cloves, hops, and rosemary. In the past decade, it was discovered that beta-caryophyllene is itself a dietary hemp compound that directly activates hemp-friendly receptors. Thus, this terpene helps support the medicinal effects of hemp oil in our endocannabinoid system. When used topically, it has shown the ability to:
• be a potent local anesthetic.
• reduce pain.
• enhance the pain-reducing strength of low-dose morphine.
• have analgesic, anticancer, and antinociceptive effects.
11. Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) EO Exceptionally aromatic and among the most beloved of all nervine essential oils, lavender is widely considered a fine topical treatment for:
• relief of neuralgia, sores, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, ulcers, minor infections, burns, and scalds.
• wound-healing by promoting collagen synthesis and differentiation of fibroblasts, accelerating the formation of granulation tissue, and remodeling tissue by replacing collagen and contracting the wound.
• providing potent anti-inflammatory activity.
• regulating prostanoids, NO, proinflammatory cytokines, and histamine.
• providing antiseptics in wound care, by “inhibiting the growth" of both MSSA and MRSA.”

12. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) EO
Ginger is one of the most well-traversed medicinal plants. As a valuable vasodilator, ginger:
• enhances peripheral circulation and moves congealed blood.
• is effective for treating conditions such as cold/damp arthritis, sciatica, lumbago, cold/damp musculoskeletal pain, and Raynaud’s Syndrome.
• improves vasodilation to provide relief from fibromyalgia, which is is associated with impaired oxygenation to tissues.

As I close this review I’d just like to make a few suggestions. If you should ever consider expanding with this product, I had this idea of turning into a cream base, However for those who make have trouble with using the bottle. Or in a cloth form that can be used, and can be controlled better. I found the pump portion of the bottle could get stuck. And the other suggestion I had falls under branding. The table and bottle are both very dark making it very hard to read, and it could possibly prove difficult for those with vision difficulties. As well as the font size on the back of the label. I’d recommend a clear/see- through bottle or lighter shade labeling. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who deals with a chronic condition and is looking for safer alternatives for treating their chronic pain.  I highly recommend that you check out their website for more information on this product and many others that are looking for healthier alternatives to relieving the chronic pain and discomfort.
Here is an update from the company's formulist of this product on turning this product into a possible lotion. “It is not possible to make the product into a cream base, because the product would then lose its potency in the process, and a lotion has what is called, reduced bioavailability”. In other words,  this product would not work as well as it does in the spray/mist form, and if you’re interested in trying Morpho for yourself can do so by going to my affiliate link here: Buy Morpho Here. And if you liked to connect with the founder and CEO of HoneyColony, Maryam Henein I am sure she would  be more than happy to answer any questions you have about Morpho. And remember, you can purchase MORPHO with my affiliate link here: Buy Morpho Here: I’d like to thank Maryam Henein, and Ryan Jones, my point contact for this campaign. It was a pleasure to work with both of you.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Is a very common, and miss diagnosed condition, among women between the ages of 20-40.  And can cause infertility with polycystic ovaries. The statics vary as to how many women have PCOS because the criteria for the condition is always changing. But here is what I found under The National Institutes Of Health. One in every 10-15 women gets diagnosed with PCOS. I also heard that about 50% of women do not know they have PCOS. Via, pcosdiva.com I also found on the site, rightdiagnoisis.com that about 50% of women are insulin resistant.
